M/S Hameeda Industries Limited is a limited company. The company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 25th February 1987 which is converted into a Limited Company on 30th November 2013 under the Companies Ordinance 1984. Mr. Jamil Khokhar a renowned business and social personality of Narowal city was the first Chief Executive of the company who established the Vegetable ghee/cooking oil unit with production capacity of 80 metric tons per day. The company started commercial production in 1990.
The unit is situated at 8th K.M. Muridkey Road, Narowal, whereas the company’s head office is situated at 110-Ahmed Block New Garden Town Lahore & Regional Office at Hameeda Chambers, Imam Ali-ul-Haq Road, Old Ghandum Mandi, Sialkot.
In 1992, the present management of company acquired the entire proprietary as well as management rights of the company and since then, the present management has been running the unit with remarkable results and growth. During this period, the management increased its installed production capacity from 80 metric tons to 250 metric tons per day. The management also enhanced the storage capacity as well as infrastructure over period of time. The company has also acquired more land adjacent to the unit and now it is spread more than the area of 14 acres. The company has converted its steam boiler operation from Furnace Oil to most economical fuel Rice Husk (TU), resulting a major cut in cost of production.
Background
Pakistan is one of those countries which prefer semi-solid fats (Banaspati ghee) as their cooking medium like India & Egypt. This has originated from the initial preference of “Desi Ghee” and over the period of two decades, Banaspati has taken the place of “Desi ghee” and is still consumed by 65% of the population. Pakistan’s per capita consumption stands at 15 kgs per person per annum. In this context keeping in view the potential of the edible oil market (data taken in 2007).

Sheikh Amir Shakeel – Chief Executive of the Company is very sound in business affairs and has eighteen years experience in ghee Industry.
Other six directors are blood relations of Sh. Amir Shakeel and are fully capable to discharge their responsibilities. They are handling the affairs of production, marketing and procurement.
All Decisions are taken by Board of Directors. A monthly Meeting is held for the betterment of company and mainly discussed about strategies, objectives, trade incentive and to scope and focus un tapped markets.
